Keith McDaniel started the first six years of his military career as an enlisted soldier serving as a cannoneer in Charlie Battery 2-142 Field Artillery. Upon completion of his officer training and college degree he commissioned as an Aviation Officer in Bravo Company 2-285th Air Assault.
During his time as an officer Keith has attended various schools such as, Air Assault School, Airborne School, SERE-C School, and Flight School. He currently serves as a UH-60 Blackhawk Helicopter Pilot and Platoon Leader for Alpha Company 2-149th. He has completed one combat deployment to Mosul, Iraq. During his deployment, he flew 148 Combat Air Missions against ISIS in direct support of Operation Inherent Resolve where he received his Combat Air Medal.
Keith currently serves as the Secondary Dean of Shiloh Christian School while maintaining his role as a helicopter pilot and Platoon Leader of Alpha Company 2-149th. He has worked at Shiloh Christian School since 2013 in various roles from being a football coach to A.P. U.S. History Teacher. He currently holds a M.S.E. Degree in Educational Leadership and is working toward the completion of his Doctorate in Educational Leadership.
